David Alexander

David Alexander was born in North Wales. This was because his Mother had been moved out of London due to the blitz. David went to school in both London and Glasgow and moved to the North East of England where he spent 40 years of his life.

He had a mostly undistinguished career in the Inland Revenue. However for the last 6 years of his Civil Service time he was the Revenue’s spokesperson on local radio. As a result David got to know people at what was then BBC Radio Cleveland so when he retired from the Tax Place he was able to get some work on a casual/freelance basis. David ended up presenting a late night Sunday Show where he was responsible also for the programme content. At the same time he started work for Traffic Link presenting travel news for BBC stations in Yorkshire. Both these gigs lasted for over 4 years and ended when David moved to the Island for family reasons.

David presents a news review show on Fridays between 2 and 5PM. He also co hosts the Tuesday mid day phone in with Ian.
