Marko ‘Lucky Boy’ Newlands

Mark Newlands was Born in South London under the shadow of Tower Bridge. He worked in a variety of jobs culminating with a career in the London Fire Brigade.

Transferred to the Isle of Wight (best place on the planet) in 1989. Now as a retired firefighter the need to keep the old grey matter going is a priority.

Vectis Radio (best radio station on the planet) has let the old boy on the turntables for a bit of therapy. I like all music but for me THE music is the Mod sound and all goes with the style movement.

Ska, Soul, R&B, and Classic American imports.throw in a little Northern soul and Two Tone and you have” Mod Magic”

Music that blasted out of the Jukeboxes and blew the froth off the coffee in those heady days of milk bars and swanky Italian coffee houses.
