I learn with particular concern your intention to encourage participation in a Balloon Launch, are you not aware that balloons harm wildlife and damage marine habitats?

Having made all relevent checks we were informed that with biodegradeable balloons which would surst into tiny fragments after reaching a certain height due to the heilium would not cause a problem…
The Balloons were hand knotted, no metal or plastic clips were used, no string or ribbon was used and the biodergadable paper labels were not laminated so would simply rot down without causing any harm to any wildlife if they were not found and picked up…
I do hope this will put your mind at rest…
We are actually looking at other ways to raise awareness next year such as a Local Musicians in the Square Event but its early days…

Hi Paddy – just wanted to say thanks for highlighting the forced adoption scandal. This is a problem all over the UK and heartbreaking for families involved. Take a look at Ian Josephs’s forced adoption web site – there are more horror stores on there but also lots of advice for families caught up in this scandal – http://www.forced-adoption.com/introduction.asp

Also Christopher Booker, Sunday Telegraph, usually writes about forced adoption horror stories most Sundays which can also be read online. Check out this one: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/7870342/Forced-adoption-is-a-truly-dreadful-scandal.html
